After finished watched this video clip, I decided to post in my blogspot. Sometimes I really pity him, after he made the first Malaysia controversy on national songs till the latest song about a Malay principle insulting students during assembly. And now the most recently the controversy on 1 Malaysia. Not only him, also pity Chinese people in Malaysia. From my side, I don't really mind getting not too fair since before. But after the 1 Malaysia slogan, I think the 'fair' become more heavier. Then why should the slogan to be announced? Haizz... If talk too much, will get fined or jailed. Better mind own business!

Understanding Some Computer Security

Found a project website by a student to student ^^ where the purpose is to teach different aspects of computer security. Many PC users found it is not safe to go Internet as hacker can hack into your lappie. But what the hacker really hack? So here I guess just simply briefing about the computer security. When you understand about it, you should know how to prevent them ^^ Good Luck~

First of all we start from Firewalls

Firewalls monitor incoming and outgoing online internet traffic on your computer. They examine incoming and outgoing data, acting like a filter to strain out the unwanted data and connections from the wanted data and connections. There are many excellent firewalls available for downloading off the internet for little or no charge.

A Firewall works similar to a door. It lets good things in and keeps the bad things out. Good firewalls will actively block any malicious incoming traffic while still allowing you to use the internet. Most firewalls will also prevent your computer from connecting to unwanted servers and from sending personal data to other computers or internet sites.

Now move to Internet Security

A major part of Internet security is having a firewall and anti-virus software. If a person stays on secure sites, and doesn't give out credit card numbers to any unsecure site to buy anything, they should be okay. When buy things on the Internet, one should stay on well-known sites with many users and traffic. This makes it harder for hackers to find credit card numbers and personal infromation. The software that is used by corporations is constantly getting better. It is more secure, almost impossible to hack into, and has excellent overall security. Encryption is used the popular web browsers, which makes it more secure.

What is Encryption?

Encryption is a security technique used to help prevent information from being intercepted on the internet. Encryption involves encoding any information sent between two computers so that only those two computers can read and understand the information. If a third party should happen to intercept the data, it would be illegible and completely useless without the key to unlock the code. Today, most popular browsers such as Netscape and Microsoft Internet Explorer contain encryption capabilities.

What to do when Downloading Security?

When downloading software or any data make sure you are on a trusted site. Also a firewall is a good protector from invasions through downloads. Anti-virus software is also a must when it comes to downloading any information or software from the internet. The anti-virus software can scan what you are downloading to make sure there are no viruses in the information or software you are receiving (I'm personally using Avast Anti-virus).

What Software?

Along with a firewall, software is the next most important block against hackers, viruses, etc.  The most commonly used items today include: anti-trojan software and anti-virus software.

Anti-Trojan software reveals spys and hackers that are invading your computer privacy. A trojan is a program that is made up of two parts, the client and the server. Once you activate the server(clicking on it) it hides itself in your computer and opens all ports allowing hackers to access your computer. Some trojans steals passwords and send them to hackers through email. Also, some trojans allow the hacker to get into the hard drive which is very dangerous. But, the most dangerous and complicated trojan is the remote administration trojan, through this, the hacker can do about anything-seeing everything you type, all your passwords, dial up accounts, and pretty much anything they want.

Anti-Virus Software finds and deletes viruses from our computer files, and most anti-virus software will update itself for new viruses. Even if you have anti-virus software you should keep back-up files of your important data.

Even before a person connects their computer to the internet they should have an excellent anti-virus software. Most of the good software out there today has a remote server that can automatically update your virus protection.

You can also install a scanner that stays in your memory and scans all files before you open them, this is especially handy when using floppy disks.

To fully fight viruses you must know how they work. How they infect other files. Viruses can be made by overwritting the beginning of the file replacing it with their own infected code; usually these viruses are easy to detect because the program itself won't work, just the virus will. They also can be made adding a jump to the end of the file, where its code is located, and then continuing with a jump back to the beginning where it left off; these are usually harder to detect except they use a little bit more memory. The last type is the virus attached to the beginning of the file, but it doesn't change the makeup of the original. This the hardest to detect but this depends on how well it is written.

To Anti-Hacking

The only way to make a computer 100% hacker proof is to disconnect it from the internet or turn it off. Since this simply isn't feasible, the security-minded computer user attempts to make it 99% secure. There are a few common ways to accomplish this task.
They are:

    * Firewalls
    * Software
    * Basic Computer Precautions

The basic computer precautions to follow are:

    * Don't give out e-mail address to someone you don't know. This can cause unwanted emails or advertising material you don't want (spam).
    * The opening of any mail-not just attachments-is potentially dangerous to your computer. Even just the previewing of an infected email can do the damage.

Yesterday had my 3rd Apad for return set. The first set I get is failure on the operating system, I think so. Then after return a new one (another type Apad), the camera is broken =.= Finally, the third is in good condition already. Haizzz....

The second Apad is different from the first one. Too bad I didn't take much photos, just one only T.T It's black in colour. It is more square-shaped than the before rounded-corner. This one support LAN cable and pendrive. Somemore got camera. Too bad the camera not functioning.

Specification almost the same as the above. Things different is operating system with Android 1.7, more updated, camera 1.3M, LAN External Fast 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Adapter,USB port splitter.

Here comes the third one, with 3G support =.= What the hell updated so fast. Even myself don't have the 3G modem. Operating system upgraded also with Android 1.8. The latest updated is version 2.2 now. To those who don't know what is Android, can check on the web. Enjoy the pictures again....

 

Android software or application can downloaded from here in APK files. Make sure you are using external memory to install. If you guys wanna ask me whats the difference between Android vs iPhone vs Blackberry vs WindowsMobile, please check by Google. 

But for my experience, I had used Android phone and WindowsMobile before. For the iPhone, I got review from some friends who using iPhone 3Gs, it is really nice. As for blackberry, I'm not much interested - more prefer Nokia E72 purple.

Holiday over~

When holiday coming to end, everyone is hoping holiday can be longer. That's everyone shoutout in Facebook. As for me, I'm so looking forward for the class day =.= and for the upcoming October. Whenever thinking about this, my heart started to bump quicker and harder. Oh my, he always make me like this.

Yesterday had a dream of darl! Woaa.. So long didn't write about darl. Recently I tried to add her in Facebook and she did approve me! God only know how happy I am here. Wish everything will be great for her there.

These one week holiday isn't much events for me. Hanging around with my assignments for the first 3 days and just went for truly holiday. Such a rare of me!

Service room had hired a girl to help him. It's been a week since he post "Help wanted" on the glass door. If I'm not working in the  phone shop, sure I will go interview. Too bad another girl had took the step and started work today. When he went out, I had chit-chat with the girl and I just knew it she had the same birthday as mine and it is in the same year! What a coincidence! And somemore our phone is full of blinky things. Huh.... Should I be happy or not?

Can Blogging Make You Happier?

According to researchers in Taiwan, the answer is “Yes.”

The researchers (Ko & Kuo, 2009) administered a 43-item self-report survey to 596 college students who were mostly between ages 16 and 22 and female (71 percent). The college students were young adults who had blogging experience, and specifically with blogging for the purpose of keeping a personal journal.

The researchers found support for deeper self-disclosure from bloggers resulting in a range of better social connections. These included things such as a sense of greater social integration, which is how connected we feel to society and our own community of friends and others; an increase in social bonding (our tightly knit, intimate relationships); and social bridging — increasing our connectedness with people who might be from outside of our typical social network. 

They also hypothesized and found support from their data that when these kinds of social connections increase or grow deeper through blogging, a person will also feel a greater subjective sense of well-being or happiness. 

This research is consistent with prior research on personal writing (usually more privately, though) that finds that when people share their innermost thoughts of their moods or feelings with others through writing, they may gain greater social support and improve their social relationships and feelings of connectedness. There isn’t a whole lot of research into blogging, so this study is a valuable contribution to our knowledge and understanding of this behavior.

The researchers also reminded us that since most people who read personal blogs are a person’s own friends and family, it’s likely that self-disclosure on those blogs will help them improve these existing relationships. Not only does blogging not diminish or interfere with existing social relationships, the researchers argue, but it enhances them and has the ability to actually improve them. 

I’ve seen this time and time again with some of my friends’ blogs — they share feelings and thoughts that I’d have a hard time getting from them in-person. Especially since many times people blog as they’re going through an emotional or difficult situation in their lives. It’s so much easier to blog about it as it’s happening than to try and call and talk to a half dozen close people by phone, repeating the same information and feelings time and time again (which can result in an emotional drain).

I also see similar things happening in our online support groups. Those people who share their feelings and thoughts consistently over time seem to get more from the groups than those who only use them as a social group.

Can blogging help you feel more connected with others and, in turn, increase your own sense of well-being and happiness? Apparently so, at least amongst college students. And even if the results don’t generalize quite so strongly to others, the data indicate a trend that suggests there continues to be benefits of journaling — whether public or private. Public journaling — blogging — however, results in the addition of these improvements in social connectedness, something you just can’t get from a private diary.

Look, it’s ‘Jackie’ selling fish in Singapore

A FISHMONGER in Singapore has been enjoying good business because he looks like popular actor Jackie Chan, reported China Press.

Zhang Sui Xing, 48, who has been selling fish at a market in Empress Road for more than 20 years, has women coming to his stall because he resembles the actor.

“Many customers call me Jackie Chan and also refer others to buy from me. My stall has also ended up being called the ‘Jackie Chan’ stall,” he said.

A customer said many people knew Zhang because he had 90% of Chan’s looks, with his big nose, hairstyle and muscles.

Zhang said he had not met Chan in person but had watched all of his movies.

He had also acted in the Singaporean movie, I not stupid, playing the role of Chan.

“Many people have also asked for my autograph. When I said I am not Chan, they ask whether I am Chan’s brother and insist on my autograph,” he said.

Zhang also enjoys discounts because of his looks and sales assistants allow him to cut queues in order to take a closer look at him.

recently newspaper is so hot talking a court case of being sodomy. of course if normal citizen being sodomy is just normal case. but for political, its a reputation! from malay local news can simply read the dialog of the being 'sodomised' and the 'sodomier'. i only found english local news in article only. because the issue is quite sensitive, so i dont want to talk too much since i read today NST current news. today dialog is when the 'sodomied' went for checkup dialog, luckily got english and malay news can be read. waiting for tomorrow big news again ^^ how come i will so interested in this kind of news? maybe im too boring so wanna find something to read about~

Earth Hour : Vote Earth

WHY SHOULD I VOTE EARTH?

This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming. For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.

In 2009, Earth Hour is being taken to the next level, with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights as part of a global vote. Unlike any election in history, it is not about what country you’re from, but instead, what planet you’re from. VOTE EARTH is a global call to action for every individual, every business, and every community. A call to stand up and take control over the future of our planet. Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing everyday.
