Tattoo or Not?

Wish to get a new tattoo at my back, but had no idea want to put what pattern. Perhaps I wanna put a letter on my neck. Should be "G" or "J" or "K"? These letters can be my initial letter of my name, Gee, Jijie and KeiKei. And yet meant a lot to me. I asked my working friend which more nice. Then she said, why I wanna put something like that? It will only make me suffered and affecting my future. That time I really had no idea what I'm thinking. Just wondering if I can do something to forget the bitter but keeping the sweet =.=
